Naxos, Day 2!

Naxos-Day 1

Layla made a new friend right away. Frederica is from Italia!

Although it doesn't seem it here, Mommy had her cranky pants on. She doesn't like having no sleep!

Good thing she snapped out of it quickly and started enjoying the beautiful island with her beautiful family!

Layla Goes To Greece!

And enjoyed our first Greek meal.

So we made our way to a little restaurant in Plaka..

Layla did too!

All that climbing, we worked up a big appetite

We made it, Layla is quite a little trooper..

We began our ascent to the Acropolis and the views of the city were breathtaking.

Next we did some shopping and purchased a painting. Joe bonded with the owner and we made our first friend.

We arrived in Athens at 8 am and went straight to the hotel for a little nap. Layla woke up in the happiest mood, ready to take on the town.

The 10 hour voyage begins with Layla snoozing in her carseat. Although the ride was a smooth one, she was happiest of all socializing in the back of the plane with her Dad.

Anthonys B'day 7-13-08

Ok, so what was the big news? Anthony's Bday?? Ava losing a tooth? Baby Layla finally waking up?? NOOO.. Bigger..

Big Anthony is a grandpa! Which makes.. Angela and John great grandparents, John, Christine and Juliana aunts and uncles and most importantly.. Little Anth isnt so little anymore, he is now Papa Anthony..Big news..

After the news settled in, we had some organic cake, Great Grandma and Grandpa got their hands on Layla. and we all had a grand ole time!

Trip to Gilgo 7-12-08

The day started with John and Sam trying to dig us a passage to China

Layla and Noa lounged out in the pool while Anth took a snooze

Bo and Juliana spent some time bonding

And the kids watched as Layla napped...

John, Gina and Niko took in some rays and then John took Niko to play in the waves

Joe, Ali and Layla stayed around for a while as the sun began to go down..

We loved little Layla!
She loved to swing in her swing..
She could hold her own bottle..
And she made the funniest faces..
She didnt even cry during her first bath!

Grandma Theresa and Uncle Charlie came to visit right away..They had to see the newest Sisca addition!
Later, Daddy and Layla took a little nap..

Caroline and Liam were so happy to meet their new little friend!!
Liam even helped Daddy feed Layla..

Layla's born! 3-25-08

Baby Sisca was in no hurry to come out. 10 days late, Mommy had to be induced. Once the epidural kicked in, it was smooth sailing. Mommy was cool as a cucumber.

After 3 hours of partying in the delivery room, Baby Layla arrived! After the initial shock wore off that she wasn't a boy, Daddy couldn't wait to get his hands on her.

Layla looks like she is freezing on the scale. Barely weighing in at 6 pounds, 4 ounces.

Dr. Grano is a pro. Her cool and collective attitude in the delivery room made all the difference. I think she was just excited to see baby Layla as we were.

Back in the room, Mommy could forget getting her hands on Layla. Daddy is in love..


Later to find out he had bronchitis, Papa had to wear a mask. Nothing could keep him away from his first granchild.

Proud Nana Joyce was just as excited. She couldnt wait to help bring Baby Layla home!

Ava, Katie and Sam were more than amazed that Layla was a girl. A new little su-sister for them!John and Christine were next on the list. Everyone loved baby Layla..
The nurses at the hospital were great. After we figured out the car seat, they actually let us bring her home...

Mimi Di came to visit and Mommy and Daddy looking sleepy but happy...

There were lots of visitors for Layla! Sorry Layla, I know you're hungry, but Uncle Bobby has nothing for you..

Grandma Angela got little Layla time in the beginning, thats what happens when you're on your 12th Grandchild!
